Martin Plowman has had nothing but success at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. He’s raced there each year since 2009 and has – in chronological order – met his girlfriend, captured his first Indy Lights race win from pole position while setting a lap record, and made his long-awaited IndyCar debut. He and the Conquest Endurance team look to continue that streak of luck with a win at this weekend’s Mid-Ohio Sports Car Challenge, racing in the American Le Mans Series presented by Patron.

Coming off their first ALMS class win, Conquest Endurance is chomping at the bit for their second. They’re slowly chipping away at the points gap between themselves and Level 5 Motorsports, who are the current class leaders in the championship. The past three race courses had been unfamiliar to Plowman, never having driven them before, but he will make a strong return to Mid-Ohio, a course he knows well.

Martin Plowman, driver: “Finally getting the win in Mosport was a relief, but heading into Mid-Ohio, I’m sure that Level 5 will be planning their revenge to take back the top spot. Now that we have taste victory, the whole team will do whatever it takes to stay on top.

“Mid-Ohio is one of my strongest tracks on the calendar, too, so for the first time I won’t be learning a brand new track come practice. I’ve had a lot of good memories there – winning pole, lap record and my first big win in America in Indy Lights in 2010, so I really hope that I can reproduce that same form heading into this weekend.”
