On January 16, 2016, Martin Plowman married long-time fiancee, Nicole Pollard at a beautiful ceremony surrounded by 85 close friends and family at the Renaissance Vinoy Golf Resort in St. Petersburg, FL. The ceremony was officiated by Pastor Dean Ryder.
Martin and Nicole first met at the 2009 Mid-Ohio IndyCar race through mutual friends and quickly became close friends soon after. Over the next six years, Martin and Nicole became a solid foundation of support for each other as they embarked on pivotal moments in their respective careers. Notably, Martin watched Nicole compete and place in the top 15 at the 2010 Miss America Pageant in Las Vegas and assisted her as she set up her own communications business. Nicole watched Martin as he won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in P2 class and competed in his first Indianapolis 500.
In December of 2013, while in Paris to attend a banquet celebrating Martin’s FIA-WEC P2 class Championship win, Martin asked Nicole to marry him in a secluded garden at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. Throughout their over two-year engagement, they planned their wedding together with the assistance of family and friends, and of course, their “flower-dog” Grace.
The two enjoyed a short honeymoon at the Four Seasons Resort in Palm Beach, Florida before heading to the 24 Hours of Daytona where Martin will be racing with CORE Autosport.
