“Why do I need a driver coach?”
Every professional athlete, from the NFL superstars to the Wimbledon pros, has a coach to ensure they reach their maximum potential. Racing is a tough business to crack, and you need to give yourself the advantage of a professional to help you avoid costly mistakes, shorten your learning curve, and help you make up the extra time on track.
Who do I work with?
Martin works with all experience, ability, and age levels. Some of his clients have been complete racing beginners, working on the basic fundamentals, and others are top veterans like Takuma Sato, who he assisted during the 2014 IndyCar season as a scout. Martin’s only prerequisite is that you have a willingness to learn and an openness to new ideas.
Martin and his team can offer a range of services including

“Martin made a significant difference to my pace and qualifying result. Not only did he help me approach the weekend in a more analytical way but his supportive development helped me find pace that it would have taken me years to find on my own.”
– Kelvin Fletcher, BTCC Driver and Emmerdale Actor.
“I have worked with Martin for a few months now and I wish I’d met him years ago. He takes an analytical approach to my driving and tailors his style of teaching to suit me. I have learnt so much and Martin is a critical component in my realising my ambition to race at Le Mans in 2021.”
– Richard Taffinder, British GT4 Driver.
Martin works with each of his clients in a flexible way to suit them, from full private test-days to race weekend support or event smaller 90-minute sessions at club-track days.
What to expect:
