Plowman has been busy during this summer break; he took a short holiday after Le Mans to rest and refresh before he came back full-force in the gym to improve his fitness before the last five races of the season. “I think the summer break has been a benefit to me,” he explained. “My mind was frazzled doing a 24-hour race for the first time, especially with the outcome that we had. So this two-month break was good, just to enjoy it. Because normally you don’t get a chance to enjoy the races that you win because you’re focusing on the next one.”

When asked if he feels as if the team still has momentum, coming off a win at Le Mans over two months prior, Plowman said, “Even though the two-month break is a long time, it gives us time to focus, reset, and work on the things that we were lacking.”

Plowman is particularly excited to visit the home track of his racing idol, Aryton Senna.
